The Catamaran Resort for your wedding
The Catamaran offers four options for your ceremony site. The Beach North Lawn accommodates up to 350 guests. Blue skies and sail boats passing by create a beautiful and classically Californian backdrop for your vow exchange. The Beach South Lawn, in contrast, offers a view of San Diego's breathtaking skyline and accommodates up to 150 guests. Prefer to have your feet right in the sand? Pop those shoes off and get married on the beach! The Beach Sand site can accommodate up to 200 guests who will happily wiggle their toes in the sand.
And finally, looking for something a little more intimate but still tropical? The Garden Gazebo may be the perfect spot. Surrounded by lush greenery and tropical plants, this private site accommodates up to 70 guests. Whether you choose the beaches, lawn or gazebo, all ceremony sites include use of garden chairs, a white lattice or bamboo wedding arch plus sound system + microphone. Our San Diego Wedding Planning team will ensure all of the details are taken care of to give you the day you've always dreamed of.
So you've exchanged your vows and now it's time for the party to start! All of the Catamaran's packages include a one hour hosted cocktail reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Your guests can relax and enjoy the gorgeous water views while sipping a drink. They'll be sure to bust out their cameras and capture a stunning San Diego Sunset!
The different Ballrooms options for your reception
When it's time to transition to reception, the variety at the Catamaran continues! Offering four locations, you can choose to party the night away in The Boardroom or the Aviary Ballroom. Both boast expansive views of Mission Bay and private balconies. The Boardroom can accommodate up to 140 guests while the Aviary Ballroom can seat up to 250. Need space for more guests? The signature Kon Tiki Ballroom has a tropical feel, soaring 25 foot ceilings and can accommodate up to 425 guests. Looking for a truly unique and unexpected reception location? Then the William D. Evans 19th century style Sternwheeler may be the spot for you! Enjoy a little piece of history while dancing and dining aboard the beautiful ship. What a way to take in the water views!
Cost: Wedding packages at The Catamaran begin at $100 per person which include catering, bar service and even the cake! However, you are free to bring in all of your own vendors for other services. At this price point, you can choose 4 tray passed hors d'oeuvres, 2 course plated or buffet meal with wine service + champagne toast.
