Set in the heart of the hotel, the charming New Orleans Courtyard can be used as both your ceremony and reception space. For ceremony, imagine exchanging your vows under a canopy of trees and twinkle lights with a historic brick backdrop. It truly feels like a piece of the French Quarter right in the Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown, San Diego.
After you've said 'I do!', the Copley Alley (see photo below!) is the perfect space for Cocktail Hour. Don't let the name fool you, this space is more than just an alley! Accented by brick walls, market lighting and lounge furniture, it's the perfect place for your guests to sip on drinks and nibble on some appetizers. There's plenty of room to play lawn games like Cornhole, giant Connect Four, giant Jenga, you name it!
As you and your guests socialize, our team will work to transform your ceremony space into the reception of your dreams. Following cocktail hour, your guests will return to the courtyard to dance and dine under the stars. The hotel is fully equipped to provide dinner and drinks, and while you cannot bring in your own caterer or bartender, all other vendors may be chosen by you.
In addition to the New Orleans Courtyard, the hotel has two ballrooms if you prefer to have your reception in a different location or need more room for dinner and dancing. The Regency Ballroom is located right next to the courtyard, but don't forget the Regal Ballroom which features floor to ceiling windows and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Cost: Wedding packages at the Horton Grand begin at $72 per person and include: ceremony + reception locations, white or gold chairs for ceremony, tables, chairs and linens for reception, china, glassware and silverware plus table options for your gift table and cake table. At this price point, you can choose three tray passed appetizers and a two course plated dinner with a champagne toast.
