Hiring a wedding videographer was the best last minute decision we made for our own wedding in San Diego in 2015. Initially, we had convinced ourselves that we could do without a wedding video...thinking that photos would be enough, but boy were we wrong! We watch our wedding video a hell of a lot more than our own wedding photos!
While having an awesome photographer is essential for your wedding, you should think twice before completely ruling out the idea of not hiring a videographer. There are so many things that photographers will not be able to capture: your vows, the speeches, sweet words from your family & friends...to name a few.
Nowadays, wedding videographers work with equipment similar to photographers and are able to produce 5 minute highlight wedding videos that are so easy to share with the world! They can cover everything from getting ready prior to ceremony to reception and all the wedding formalities in between (grand entrance, first dance, speeches, late night dance moves, etc.)
If you are on a budget, ask for a 4-hour coverage basic package which will cover all the main formalities the day of the wedding.
