San Diego's Newest Wedding Venues

Wanted to host a wedding in 2020? Ruh-roh think again. We know the pandemic may have thrown a wrench into your wedding plans, but that doesn't mean the planning needs to stop here. A few venues have emerged into the San Diego scene, whether you are postponing and need to change locations or recently engaged and looking for a spot to tie the knot. Willmus Weddings is here to give you the low down.


Luce On Kettner (Little Italy)



Feast your eyes on this contemporary, minimalist yet vintage beauty. The new yet historic venue, brought to you by the talented team at Luce Loft, is a beautifully designed warehouse right in the heart of Little Italy (the first dedicated venue of its kind in the 'hood). With an open vendor policy and open floor plan, couples can go to town on this blank canvas and truly make it your own. From exposed beams, tons of natural light, concrete floors, to a beautiful ceremony backdrop wall, every square inch of this venue was thoughtfully designed. Bridal and groom suite are included in addition to a catering kitchen! While Luce On Kettner has a max capacity of 300 guests, it is ideal for 100-250 guests. The rental cost for Luce on Kettner is $6000.



Julep Venue (Middletown)

As San Diego’s newest, hottest venue and with more than 12,000 square feet of versatile space, you can build the wedding of your dreams. Think white walls, vaulted ceilings, wood floors...a clean and neutral palette that leaves tons of room for creativity. Julep features a beautifully bright and large banquet hall with high ceilings and industrial roll up doors that lead to a spacious patio. Surrounded with private lounges (perfect for the bride & groom suites!) and multifunctional rooms (set up a cigar lounge to impress the gents!), you will definitely leave a lasting impression on your guests. BONUS: there is a large parking lot and they even have two kitchens on site, a caterers dream! The cost to rent Julep is $5,000 + $1,000 Refundable Damage Deposit includes all rooms/spaces, 4 hours set up, 5 hours event time and 1 hour break down. Their exclusive bar company is Snake Oil Cocktail (why would you look elsewhere anyway?!).



The Lane (Downtown)



As the original home to the Padres Stadium-Lane Field, this 12,000sq foot historical site has a unique interior & gorgeous water front patio so you can cheers your guests as the sun sets. Designed with guest experience in mind, the layout effortlessly connects the various gathering spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The Lane is also decked out with a bridal suite for your bride tribe, a spacious prep-kitchen to please your caterer and in-house rentals to use at your disposal. Prices for The Lane are as follows: $5000 (Monday - Thursday), $6500 (Friday + Sunday), $7500 (Saturday) and includes 14 hours of event, set-up, break down time.

Flora (Downtown)

Want the perfect mix of an intimate indoor space with an outdoor vibe, Flora is THE venue for you. Every inch of this space has been meticulously crafted with elegance and romance in mind plus a bit of whimsy. The walls are lined with greenery and plants galore and guess what!...they are all real. As such a versatile space, Flora can be transformed into anything you want it to be whether Modern, Boho, Classic or Chic. Plus it includes Farm Tables, Chairs, a Full Kitchen Space for Caterers, Mobile Bar, House Decor and Beautifully Crafted Furnishings. As far as pricing, the rental fee is $9750 and an additional $1000 to go until 1am.


Salt Drift Pointe (Imperial beach)

Looking for a mix of modern and rustic? Look no further than this bay side beauty! Salt Drift Pointe in Imperial Beach was designed and inspired by the natural landscapes surrounding it. With breathtaking views of the salt ponds and the San Diego Bay, this 13,000sqft space includes an indoor main room that opens up to an expansive patio and pier for ceremonies and any outdoor events. Located in proximity to the beach and Coronado, there are great options for hotels and restaurants for your lovely guests!



The Sinclair on G Street (Downtown)



Looking for an urban space to celebrate your big day? Well, you've found it! Formerly know as The Pannikin Building, The Sinclair on G Street is a blank canvas adorned with brick walls that allows you to bring in any preferred vendors. With over 5,000sq feet, you can let your creativity soar. Located downtown, right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, this industrial beauty has multiple levels to easily transition from Ceremony to Cocktail Hour to Reception. Pannikin can accommodate up to 165 people and includes lounge areas for the bride and groom. Ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 on the weekends and $1,500 to $3,500 on the weekdays, budgets of all sizes are welcome.
